Can someone explain to me on this years budget, page 30, what the Administrators perm salary of 86k then the 3rd line from the top is Administrator SUPR salary of 79k. Which is MM's salary and who is getting the other? Also is it saying that her retirement went up almost 1k this year as well as the health insurance went up

Might have to submit another FOIA to get the exact details of those two lines.

You will see the same thing on page 29 re. the Probate Court.

It should be noted that these are independent entries - that is, they are both paid. It looks like, to me, they represent salaries for two different people. What the distinction is between PERM and SUPR is, I cannot begin to fathom, but I am thinking one stands for permanent and the other supervisor. It seems to me they are using these abbreviations to distinguish among various types of salaries. For example, if you look at the District Court section (on page 28) you will see a big number called "Salaries" and a smaller number titled "SUPR Sala" - I am guessing that the one number is everything beyond the individually identified SUPR salary.

Which means that there are two employees in the Administrator's office sucking away over $ 150,000. My hunch is that PERM is McAvoy and SUPR is an underling, although I wouldn't know who that is...

It is important to note that FICA is capped at just over $ 6,000 per employee. So, since $ 12,000 is paid to FICA, I would reason that there actually are two people being paid for these two entries.

I believe the 705 supervisor's salary is the department heads salary.
The County Clerk, Register of Deeds, Treasurer and Drain Commissioner all get paid the same and it looks to be recorded under that.

MM has 'several' employees in her office. I think those are the "perm salaries"

It is not uncommon to take a percentage of all the different department budgets your nose is poked into to help finance your own department budget.

The 2004 & 2005 audits show the office is titled that of the County Coordinator. After the 2005 audit the office became that of County Administrator.

The question is did the new title cause the budget increase? Did the workload actually increase? Or both?
