Today's Durand Independent has an article re: Colbry's arraignment, etc. on page 13.

Thursday, Aug. 13th @ 11:00am w/65th District Court Judge Richard Wells of St. Johns. Wells will be presiding in the Shiawassee County Courtroom of Judge Thomas Dignan.

Is this in the Argus?

This is interesting as Judge Wells is known for his penchant to humiliate defendants in his court. I wonder if he will play nice in a neighboring court?

Further info from the Independent, as the Argus has not reported on the arraignment time/date yet.

...he is charged with driving under the influence, as well as leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

I think we all knew that. What we don't understand is why wasn't he charged with running a stop sign? reckless driving ? spitting on the roadway? and/or any and all of the insane charges they trump up to charge regular people with.

It's not going to be much of a show.. Colbry is not even required to be there...

Focusing on a petition drive would be much more exciting..

For the record, the judge is Terrence P Dignan. The Independent has printed my name as judge in the past, but I am not.

I know how you feel! People confuse me with Barak Obama all the time, gets annoying!

I think it's because I have a White House too. And a oval office... No wait! That is just the room spinning, never mind!

I recall (possibly mistakenly) the judge was going to be a fellow from St. Johns because Randy has worked with all the judges here in the county.

The judge will be Richard Wells of St. Johns and he will be in Judge Dignan's court room.

Of course it wasn't in the Argus. They are not in the business of printing worthy news. They are for censorship and are against our first amendment. DUH! Haven't we figured this out yet? The owner of the Argus is too scared to put it in print. Thanks MR. CAMPBELL!
